Status report filed by the State be kept with the records. 2.

It appears that February 21, 2025 is the next date fixed by the learned Trial Court. The State says that out of 20 charge sheet named witnesses only 10 are proposed to be examined. 3.

We find that about 41 kgs of ganja was seized from the joint possession of three accused persons including this petitioner. 4.

Keeping in mind the restrictions in Section 47 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage.

CRM (NDPS) 1820 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

However, keeping in mind that the petitioner is in custody for more than a year, we direct the learned Trial Court to spare no efforts to expedite the trial and conclude the same as soon as possible, without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties and if necessary, by fixing frequent schedules of at least 3/4 days each, for examination of witnesses.
