Act.

Sabir ..... petitioner Mr. Shareq Siddique Mr. Shahnawaz Alam ... for the petitioner Mr. Debabrata Chatterjee, learned APP Ms. Debjani Dasgupta ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits he is in custody for 77 days. It is also submitted that he is suffering from respiratory disease. He prays for bail.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Victim housewife committed suicide within one year of marriage. In her suicide note she implicated her father-in-law i.e. the petitioner. In view of the incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

Medical attention be extended to the petitioner as and when necessary.
