1. Heard the learned Counsels for the parties. 2.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner is in custody for more than a month. His bail prayer was rejected earlier in March, 2023. Thereafter charge has been framed and date has been fixed for recording evidence. It cannot be said that there is no progress of the matter since rejection of bail by this Court. Under such circumstances we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner either on the ground of delay in trial or on merits.

3. Application for bail is, thus, rejected.

4. Trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
