We have considered the materials on record.

Statements of the witnesses before Magistrate and police show petitioner and others assaulted the victim with sharp cutting weapons. He does not stand on the same footing with coaccused who has been granted anticipatory bail. In view of gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.
