Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Manisha Sharma, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is facing agony of trial as the case was instituted in the year 2017. The prosecution in order to prove its case relied upon seven witnesses. However, charge has not been framed by the learned trial court.

Accordingly, it is directed that on the next date so fixed, the learned trial court would take all efforts for consideration of charges. In case it is not possible for reasons beyond control to complete the process of consideration of charges, within a fortnight from the said date so fixed, the learned trial court would complete the said process of consideration of charges. The learned trial court after consideration of charges, if it is of the opinion that trial of the case should proceed, in that case the learned trial court would fix at least one date in a month for the purposes of the present case being Berhampore Police Station Case No. 531 of 2017 so

that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 4534 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
