Petitioner informed the Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station for conducting Indian National Trade Fair Rash Mela, 2024. Petitioner complains that because of instigation, there is attempt for jeopardizing such fair being organized at the instance of the present petitioner, who happens to be the President of the Trustee Board of the organization. Pursuant to the complaint lodged on 13.11.2024, a report has been submitted by the learned advocate for the State. Report reflects that a case has been registered being Kasba Police Station Case No.482 dated 24.11.2024 under the relevant sections of BNS. So far as the issue relating to police

action is concerned, the police authorities have already taken steps.

Petitioner submits that he has got another prayer which includes amongst others that protection be granted for conducting the fair which has been referred to.

If the permission has been granted by the police authorities, it would be the duty of the administration and the police authorities to ensure that the same is carried out in a peaceful manner. For the said purpose, if adequate police force is required, the police authorities will make requisition for the same from the appropriate authorities.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 27881 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
