Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Trina Mitra, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of Sonarpur Police Station Case No. 1121 of 2022 under Sections 379/411 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned advocate submits that on conclusion of investigation, charge-sheet has been submitted and the next date has been fixed on 21.03.2024 by the learned trial court.

Having regard to the fact that the case was initiated in the year 2022 and till date charge has not been framed, I direct the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur to complete the process of supply of copies and overcome the stage of consideration of charges within a period of three months from the next date i.e. on 21.03.2024. The learned trial court, if thereafter is of the opinion that trial of the case should proceed, in that case the learned trial court would fix one date in every sixty days so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a

reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of materials, documents and exhibits on the dates so fixed by the learned trial court. All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 4546 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
