Dismissed that the petitioner is in custody for more than 1 year 2 months and only one witness has been examined out of the proposed 9 witnesses. Other accused persons have been released on bail, as such, learned advocate for the petitioner prays for bail on any stringent conditions.

Learned advocate for the State produces the case diary and submits that the petitioner is the principal accused. It has also been stated that one witness is being examined and it is the petitioner who is the principal accused in the case and engineered whole of the alleged offence.

I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary and I am of the view that this is not a fit case for

releasing the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, CRM(M) 2604 of 2025 is dismissed. However, State is directed to complete at least first six charge-sheeted witnesses within 30th April, 2026. No unnecessary adjournments be granted to any of the parties and the trial of the case would continue in spite of any resolution of the local bar. Petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.
