Mr. Shouryavir Das, Advocates ....for the respondent Nos.2 & 3 Mr. Bikash Kumar Chattopadhyay, Mr. Soumyojit Bhatta, Advocates ....for the Panihati Municipality In this public interest petition, the petitioner has raised an issue that there is an marriage hall namely 'Avavahika' situated at Tran Nath Banerjee Road, Ram Krishna Pally, Panihati, District North 24 Parganas and that marriage hall is provided for social function, marriage etc. and after the function waste food, plastic bottles and other garbage are openly thrown in the river Ganga.

Learned counsel for petitioner has pointed out that a detailed representation dated 29.11.2022 was submitted by petitioner to respondent No.2, Secretary, West Bengal Pollution Control Board but no action has been taken till now.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 fairly submits that there is no objection in considering the petitioner's complaint/representation.

WPA(P) 621 of 2022 Learned counsel for Panihati Municipality has denied the allegation.

Having regard to the nature of allegation, we are of the opinion that the entire issue needs consideration by respondent No.2. Hence, we dispose of the present petition directing respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's complaint/representation dated 29.11.2022 and take appropriate action in accordance with law after giving opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties.
