Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and Indian Bank Authorities.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that on concluding disciplinary proceeding initiated against the petitioner final order of punishment was issued on 27th August, 2024.

By order of punishment dated 27th August, 2024 petitioner was directed to be removed from service which shall ordinarily not be a disqualification for future service.

Against order of punishment dated 27th August, 2024 appeal was preferred before the appellate authority in terms of the relevant provisions on 20th September, 2024.Grievance of the petitioner is that said appeal is yet to be decided.

It is submitted by the Bank Authorities that since multiple issues are involved in the appeal till date final order is not passed.

Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the appellate authority to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 20th September, 2024 by six weeks from the date of communication of this order and decision to be communicated to the petitioner by fortnight thereafter.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
