The present revision has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of proceeding in Complaint Case No. 848 of 2020 pending before the learned 3rd Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24-Parganas relating to the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1988 (as amended upto date).

It appears from the materials on record that the proceedings in the present case was initiated in the year 2020. Four long years have passed and the learned counsel for the petitioner has placed several orders to show that the trial Court is not proceeding with the case diligently.

Considering the said facts, the revisional application is disposed of with the direction that learned Magistrate shall make an effort to dispose of the proceedings before it within a period of six

months from the date of this order with due notice to both sides without granting any adjournment other than for a valid cause. According CRR 4563 of 2022 stands disposed of.

All applications connected thereto stand disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of the order be sent to the learned trial Court for compliance.
