Manindra Nath Basak ... petitioner Mr. Gobinda Chandra Baidya Mr. Gobinda Baidya ... for the petitioner The instant revisional application is filed for quashing the judgment dated 19th June, 2013 passed by the learned District and Sessions Judge, South 24-Parganas at Alipore in connection with Criminal Appeal No. 52 of 2012 whereby the said Court had confirmed the order dated 11th August, 2014 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur, South 24-Parganas in connection with complaint case no. 65083 of 2003. During the pendency of the instant revisional application, the petitioner as well as the opposite party have amicably resolved the disputes and have filed a compromise petition being CRAN 2 of 2024, inter alia, stating that the petitioner has paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the opposite party. In view of Section 147 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, the prayer made in CRAN 2 of 2024 is allowed. The conviction as per the impugned order dated 19th June, 2013 is set aside.

The personal appearance of the parties are dispensed with.

The instant revisional application is accordingly disposed of.

Copy of this order be communicated to the learned Trial Court through the Office of the learned Registrar Administration (L&OM).
