Dismissed that the petitioner is the husband who has been implicated in connection with the instant case along with others. The petitioner is in custody for 761 days and there has been no progress in the trial of the case.
Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary.
I find that even after more than two years the case has not been committed to the court of sessions.
Having regard to the manner in which the case is
progressing, I direct the learned Magistrate to expedite the process for commitment of the case. Steps be taken by the learned sessions court to expedite the process. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court after the stage of consideration of charges are over.
At present, CRM(M) 2599 of 2025 is dismissed. Learned advocate for the State is directed to communicate this order to the learned public prosecutor appearing for the State in the court below for communicating the order passed by this Court.
