1. The petitioner renews his prayer for bail, which was rejected earlier by a co-ordinate bench by an order dated February 1, 2024 passed in CRM (NDPS) 198 of 2024. While rejecting the petitioner's prayer, the co-ordinate bench requested the learned trail court to conclude the trial on a day-to-day basis and conclude the same on an early date preferably within 18 months from the next date fixed for recording of evidence without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

2. Learned State advocate says that the period granted by the coordinate bench has not yet expired. The prosecution may not examine all the 20 charge-sheet named witnesses. All efforts

will be made to conclude the trial within the time-period indicated by the co-ordinate bench.

3. Since the time-period granted by the co-ordinate bench for conclusion of the trial is yet to expire and there still remains substantial time to conclude the trial, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

4. Accordingly, the bail petition is dismissed.

5. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

6. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
