Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner's minor girl has been missing for the nine months. The police have not been able to trace out the victim girl and has not conducted the investigation properly.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State prays for some more time to trace out the girl. Sufficient time has been given to the local police authorities to trace out the girl. In spite of that, they are not being able to do so. It is reported that no Section 164 statement of the complainant or the persons acquainted with the facts have been recorded.

Although the report shows that information about the

girl going missing has also been sent to the CID, in all fairness, no further time should be wasted by keeping the investigation with the present set of Investigating Officers. Considering the exigency and the facts and circumstances of the case, let the investigation of the case be handed over to the CID forthwith who shall make their best efforts to trace out and recover the girl and conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible and in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
