Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for 3 years and 7 months. Learned Additional public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that out of 29 prosecution witnesses 21 were examined. The trial is in progress.

Materials on records in the case diary implicate the petitioners in murder. The trial is in progress. 21 prosecution witnesses were already examined.

In such circumstances, we request the learned trial court to fix a schedule for examining the next eight (8) prosecution witnesses. We also request the learned trial

judge not to grant any unnecessary adjournments to any of the parties and to endeavour and conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.

Materials placed on record do not suggest a desirability of granting bail to any of the petitioners at this stage and the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected. The application being C.R.M. (DB) 3950 of 2024 stands dismissed.
