AD 42 January 19, 2026 Ct. 28 SG CRM(A) 4141 of 2025 Reject An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Kaliachak P.S. Case No.1285 of 2022 dated 07.11.2022 under Sections 308/323/325/341/34 of the IPC.

Karim @ Karim Sk and others ... petitioners Ms. Sabrina Parveen ... for the petitioners Md. Anwar Hossain Ms. Rita Datta ... for the State Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the dispute took place between the family members. No one suffered grievous injury.

Learned counsel for the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and relies on the materials available in the case diary and the report filed in Court which is taken on record. He submits that this is a case of 2022 and the petitioners had been absconding till now. Proclamations have been issued against all the petitioners.

Considering the above, the other materials available in the case diary and the fact that proclamations have been issued against all the petitioners, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
