1. The reivsional application has been filed at the behest of the accused seeking directions of Trial Court for expeditious disposal on CGR Case No. 1690 of 2017 and GR Case No. 574 of 2019 arising out of South Port Police Station Case No. 75 dated 22.04.2017 under Sections 420/406/120B of the Indian Penal Code.

2. It is submitted on behalf of the learned Advocate for the petitioner that the case was started in the year 2017. However, the trial of the case has not yet concluded. He seeks a direction of the learned 4th Judicial Magistrate at Alipore to try and dispose of the case expeditiously.

3. The State is represented.

4. Ms. Faria Hossain, learned Advocate, is requested to represent the State in this case. Her appointment may be regularized.

5. It transpires from submission made on behalf of the parties and on perusal of material on record including the copy of the order sheet annexed with the application that the case was started under Sections 420/406/120B of the Indian

Penal Code on April 22, 2017. The case was investigated by the Investigating Authority and chargesheet was submitted in November 2018. Thereafter charge was framed on September 04, 2024. Since then, only one witness has been examined partly.

In the facts and circumstances of the case it would be appropriate to request the learned 4th Judicial Magistrate at Alipore South 24 Parganas to try and dispose of CGR Case No. 1690 of 2017 and GR Case No. 574 of 2019 as early as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. No doubt, the learned Trial Court shall take all legal steps for securing attendance of the prosecution witnesses in accordance with law.

7. With the above observation this revisional application being CRR 5207 of 2025 stands disposed of.
