1. Heard learned Advocates for the parties.

2. Petitioner submits that he is not the principal accused. He is in custody for six months. He prays for bail.

3. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

4. We have considered the materials on record. The petitioner was a member of the group, who had murdered the victim. He had also participated in the assault. Post mortem report discloses extensive head injuries as well as injuries in the ribs supporting the allegation of indiscriminate assault.

5. Hence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

6. The prayer for bail is rejected.
