It appears from the report and is also submitted on behalf of the parties that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. ACGR case no. 5384 of 2024 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore be quashed. The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

CRR 4958 of 2024 and the connection application, being CRAN 1 of 2024 are disposed of.
