Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for cancellation of the interim bail granted on 13.11.2024 to the accused opposite parties by the learned CJM, Paschim Bardhaman. Learned Magistrate took into account the factual circumstances including the period of detention as also the materials which were appearing and thereafter granted bail. Pursuant to the earlier direction status report has been submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Asansol (North) Police Station, which reflects that charge-sheet has been submitted on or about 30.11.2024. Subsequently, the case was committed and charges have already been framed on 30.07.2025.

Having regard to the change of circumstances at this stage, I am not inclined to interfere with the order of bail.

However, the petitioner would, if she is faced with inconveniences apply for cancellation of bail, in case, there are threat, coercion as well as tampering with the witnesses or further post-bail mis-use of liberty. No interference is made at this stage. Accordingly, CRM (SB) 156 of 2024 is dismissed with the aforesaid directions.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
