1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.
2. Receipt showing submission of deficit court fees filed in Court today be retained with the records.
3. The petitioners claim to be teachers of government schools outside the State of West Bengal. They participated in the recruitment process for appointment of assistant teachers in the 2nd SLST-2025.
4. They allege that they could not fill up the details of their prior teaching experience as no option was provided in the application form for mentioning the details of prior teaching experience of
teachers who do not teach in government sponsored/aided schools under the Government of the West Bengal.
5. As the petitioners have prior teaching experience of teaching outside the State, accordingly, they were unable to fill up the said column.
6. It has been submitted that the rules pursuant to which the recruitment process is being conducted does not restrict awarding of marks on account of prior teaching experience only to the teachers who have taught within the State.
7. The Rules clearly mentions about prior teaching experience in a government and/or government aided and/or government sponsored schools in a substantive post as permanent and/or on contractual basis.
8. It is an admitted fact that the result of the written examination has already been declared and the interview list has also been published. The petitioners have approached this Court only on 2nd December, 2025, i.e. long after the aforesaid steps have been taken by the Commission.
9. Accordingly, the Court is not inclined to allow the prayer of the petitioners, at this stage.
10. The issue as to whether marks can be allotted on account of prior teaching experience has been challenge and the same is under active consideration before this Court in several other writ petitions. Any order passed therein will govern the others also.
11. In view of the above, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
