The petitioners are confirmed Assistant Teachers of primary schools. The petitioner no. 1 is working under South 24 Parganas District Primary School Council, whereas the petitioner no. 2 is working under Purba Medinipur District Primary School Council, they are praying mutual transfer. The representations of the petitioners for such transfer are pending consideration before the Secretary of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the respondent no. 4 herein.

The said respondent is directed to dispose of the said representations of the petitioners in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. W.P.A. 28039 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
