Written instruction has been forwarded by the General Manager (HR&A), Training, Planning and Allied Services of the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited dated 24th January, 2025 mentioning that the authority is accepting the bids of the writ petitioners.

The same suggests that the bids submitted by the writ petitioners shall be accepted without insisting on the clause relating to the location of the head office/registered office/branch office of the petitioners.

As the bids of the petitioners will be considered on merit without referring to the head/registered/branch office, accordingly, the respondents are permitted to open the bids that have already been placed by the respective parties and proceed to finalize the same in accordance with law and in terms of the notice inviting tender.

Let the written instruction dated 24th January, 2024 be retained with the record.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of.

6. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
