Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed a complaint before the learned jurisdictional court at Paschim Medinipur in the year 2019 and almost after three years, only the examination of the accused under Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been completed.

The petitioner submits that the next date has been fixed for hearing of the application under Section 143A of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The petitioner/complainant is anxious regarding the progress of the case.

Having considered the anxiety expressed by the petitioner and the purpose for which the legislature decided to incorporate provisions under the N. I. Act for effective and early disposal of the case regarding the dishonour of cheque, I direct that the learned Magistrate on and from the month of March, 2023 would fix at least one date in a month so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional being CRR 4575 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
