Petitioner is aggrieved by the act and action of the police authorities particularly the Eco Park Police Station which did not proceed with the investigation of the case inspite of his complain which was initially filed in the month of August, 2024. Petitioner has complained theft in respect of two mobile phones at his police station as also cash amount of Rs. 15,000/-. The main grievance primarily is that police have not pursued the investigation of the case.

Mr. Sengupta learned Senior Government Advocate submits a report. Report reflects that petitioner was repeatedly contacted and requested but he did not go to the police station for pursuing the case.

Be that as it may as prima facie a cognizable offence is made out, police authorities would act in accordance with law.

Petitioner will also cooperate, so that if any investigation is commenced that may be taken to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 28127 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
