Salim ... for the private respondent(s) The petitioner has expressed his anxiety as his brother, namely, Swapan Kumar Mondal, is not traceable and, in spite of repeated information being sent to the Commissioner of Police, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate, till date, there has been no outcome in respect of the steps taken by them I have considered the agony and anxiety of the petitioner and also taken into account the steps taken by the Officer-in-charge of Nager Bazar Police

Station, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate in respect of tracking out the said missing person.

I find that some steps were taken and necessary coordination was prayed for from the Officer-in-charge of Missing Persons Bureau, CID, Bhawani Bhawan, West Bengal.

Having considered the time period which has passed and the expertise involved in tracing out the said missing person, I am of the view that the whole of the file relating to enquiry for tracing out said Swapan Kumar Mondal be transferred to the Officer-in-charge of Missing Persons Bureau, CID, Bhawani Bhawan, West Bengal. The concerned officer will exhaust all the steps as is professionally done by the said department and once in every two months inform the petitioner relating to the stage they could arrive at.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 28222 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. Let summary of the report be handed over to the petitioner by the learned advocate for the State.
