Mr. Pritam Choudhury ....for the Respondent No. 4 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the respondent CESC Ltd. to transfer the name of the existing meter in favour of the petitioner.

It is submitted on behalf of the respondent CESC Ltd. that the petitioner has made an application for installation of a new meter and not for transfer of the meter.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 27820 of 2025 stands disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh online application for transfer of the name of the existing meter in his favour. If such application is filed, the same should be considered in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of such application being made.

It is needless to mention that there has been no adjudication on the merits of the case and the petitioner shall comply with all statutory formalities and pay the required fees.
