Mr. Dilip Kumar Samanta ...for the petitioner Mr. Amal Kumar Sen Mr. Lal Mohan Basu ...for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that permanent stage carriage permit on the route Kukrahati to Sonakania was granted in favour of the petitioner's father which is valid upto February 13, 2026. The petitioner's father transferred the permit in favour of the petitioner and on application made before the authority for issuance of the permit in favour of the petitioner, the authority issued such permit for the period February 14, 2021 to February 13, 2026 with an endorsement "express service".
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there was no such endorsement in the permit granted in favour of the petitioner's father and ought not to have been included in the fresh permit issued in his favour. The petitioner submitted a representation before the concerned authority on October 11, 2023 requesting deletion of the words "express service" which is yet to be considered.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the 2nd respondent be directed to consider the said representation in accordance with law.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner on October 11, 2023 within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.
There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
