The police case is dated April 4, 2022.

There is an issue of long absconsion of the petitioner. Petitioner is the owner of the vehicle involved in the illegal mining transactions.

Petitioner contends that the truck was made over to the driver on a Power of Attorney basis.

Learned advocate for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the Case Diary including the statement of the driver, which implicates the petitioner. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, C.R.M.(A) 5293 of 2023 is rejected (Debangsu Basak, J.)
