Report filed by the State is also taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is dissatisfied with the manner in which the investigation of Purulia Town Sadar Police Station Case No.166 dated 24.10.2023 under Sections 498A/304B/34 IPC was being carried out. However, during pendency of this application a charge-sheet has been submitted.

Learned counsel for the private respondent denies the allegations and submits that his client was innocent. Learned counsel for the State relies on the report and submits that after CID took over the investigation of

the case, a thorough investigation was conducted and a charge-sheet was submitted. Two reports are pending for which supplementary charge-sheet may have to be filed. As the prime grievance of the petitioner of inaction in investigating the case has been redressed and a chargesheet has been submitted, no further order need be passed in this regard.

However, if the petitioner/de facto complainant is aggrieved with the outcome of the investigation, he shall be at liberty to file a protest petition before the trial court. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
