The petitioner says that he is in custody for about two years one month. He renews his prayer for bail. 2.

Learned State Advocate points out that January 15, 2025, has been fixed as the date for examination under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

We further see that the petitioner's bail application filed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court was dismissed as withdrawn by an order dated March 21, 2024.

In view of the fact that the trial is on the verge of completion and also considering that the prayer for bail was withdrawn before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage. 5.

CRM (NDPS) 1838 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

However, considering that the petitioner is in custody for quite some time, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the

trial and conclude the same by delivery of judgment on an early date.
