Mr. Kamalesh Chandra Saha ...for the petitioner. The petitioner seeks quashing of NGR Case No.3351 of 2024 pending before the learned Special Executive Magistrate, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed an application challenging the maintainability of the case before the learned Special Executive Magistrate on 23rd October, 2024, which is still pending.

The same issue is the subject matter of the present revisional application.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the learned Special Executive Magistrate to dispose of the application within a stipulated time frame. In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that since the application filed by the petitioner is pending for considerable period of time, the learned Special Executive Magistrate, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate is directed to take the application to its logical conclusion within one month from the next date of hearing fixed

before him, if the application is already not disposed of, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 4994 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
