The petitioner is the operator as regards the route from Anandanagar Health Centre to Kamarkundu Station.

By dint of his application dated June 18, 2024, the writ petitioner has prayed for variation/extension of the route, on which he is operating now. The petitioner seeks extension of the route from Anandanagar Health Centre to Kamarkundu Station via Nanda, Nasibpur.

According to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner the extension as has been sought for by the writ petitioner is in compliance with the statutory requirement for grant such extension/variation. She seeks an appropriate order to be passed in this writ petition.

Mr. Deb, learned advocate appearing for the State, would submit that the representation of the

writ petitioner is yet to be considered by the respondent /Board.

Considering the submissions and the records, it is found proper that the present writ petition be disposed of by directing the State Transport Authority, West Bengal to consider the petitioner's representation dated June 18, 2024, after affording the adequate and reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

It shall decide about the prayer of the writ petitioner in the said application and pass a reasoned order in case of the prayer of the petitioner in the said application is declined by it.

The entire exercise shall be concluded by the Board within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition No. WPA 28193 of 2024 is disposed of.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
