Heard learned Advocates for both the parties. 2.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is an associate of co-accused viz. Debobrota Das. Debobrota Das has valid licence to deal in drugs. Drugs were seized from the constructive custody of Debobrota Das himself. He has been granted pre-arrest bail. Under such circumstances, we are inclined to extend the same privilege to the petitioner also.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner, namely, Sankar Sarkar, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on further condition that the petitioner shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a week until further orders.
