1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had used forged voter's identity card to obtain health benefits from the government. However, no such benefit had been extended and the alleged forged document is in the custody of the investigating officer.

3. Under such circumstances we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of the petitioner for the purpose of investigation is not necessary and he may be granted anticipatory bail.

4. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482(2) of BNSS 2023.

5. Petitioner shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
