Petitioners before us are the in-laws of the victim. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were residing separately from the victim and her family.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. There is a declaration recorded by the victim before the doctor treating her.

In such declaration, she stated that, the petitioners along with her husband forced her to ingest pesticides. Medical evidence corroborates such ingestion. In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.

CRM(A) 5347 of 2023 is dismissed.
