The petitioners pray for one-time settlement of the loan account. A representation made by them is pending consideration before the bank.

After hearing the petitioners and on perusing the documents annexed to the writ petition, I dispose of the writ petition of by directing the Canara Bank to take steps for consideration of the petitioners' prayer for one-time settlement in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within thirty days from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners forthwith thereafter.

The steps taken in the matter shall be without prejudice to the rights and contentions of either of the parties in the pending matter before the Kolkata Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal being SA No.291 of 2024.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
