Chowdhury ...for the University Mr. Gourav Das, Mr. Debapriya Chatterjee ...for the State The earlier writ petition (WPA 21875 of 2022) filed by the writ petitioners was disposed of. With the following directions :- "In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the university to allow both the petitioners to participate in the selection process for the aforesaid two posts as and when it proceeds to fill up the said two posts condoning the age bar of the writ petitioners provided they fulfill the other conditions for appointment.

The petitioners shall also be given priority in the selection process over the other aspiring candidates in accordance with law.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners that the petitioners have not been paid any salary for the last year. The university will consider the payment of last one-year salary of the petitioners in accordance with law within one month from the date of communication of this order. .

The order impugned dated September 7, 2022 passed by the Special Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department, Govt. of West Bengal is set aside.

WPA 21875 of 2022 is disposed of.

By filing this writ petition, the writ petitioners submits that despite the available sanctioned GroupC posts, the university has not initiated any step for filling up the said post.

It has been submitted by Mr. Chaudhuri, learned advocate appearing for the university that the university requires permission from the state to initiate the selection process.

In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of granting liberty upon the university to seek permission from the State for filling up the sanctioned Group-C posts, if any. If the university seeks such permission from the State, the same shall be considered by the State within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, WPA 26837 of 2023 is disposed of.
