Petitioner contends there is no direct evidence connecting him with the crime. PW 3 has not supported the prosecution case. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer.

We have considered the materials on record. PW 2 stated petitioner was last seen with the victim prior to his death. On the leading statement of the petitioner to footwear of the deceased was recovered.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating evidence on record and gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
