Despite service no one appears on behalf of the private respondents.

Report filed on behalf of the State is also taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are aged and ailing persons. They owned a property. In order to manage and dealt with property, the petitioners engaged the private respondent nos.5 and 6 as their power of attorney holders. However, the private respondents sold away roughly 95% of the said property, but did not give a single penny to the petitioners. A complaint was made to the police authorities, but no action was taken.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits that no formal complaint has however been made before the police authorities. If the same is made, the police would act in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by granting the petitioners liberty to lodge a complaint before the local police station for registration of an FIR whereupon the Officer-in-Charge, Kotwali Police Station shall act in accordance with law.

With these observations, WPA 26875 of 2023 is disposed of.
