Petitioner is in custody for 277 days. It is submitted she is the mother in law of the victim housewife. She prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits victim housewife was brutally assaulted and set on fire. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner and other in-laws assaulted the victim housewife. Thereafter, she was set on fire. Post mortem report corroborates such statement.

In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
