1. Husband, brother-in-law and the mother-in-law of the victim were enlarged on bail from time to time by the Court.

2. Petitioner before us is the father-in-law.

3. Petitioner is in custody in excess of 2 years 5 months.

4. Last order of rejection of the prayer for bail is by the Supreme Court on October 14, 2024.

5. Police filed charge sheet.

6. Petitioner stands implicated in a murder of a house wife, within four years of marriage. Victim was chopped to death. Postmortem report states about gruesome manner in which the victim was murdered. The weapon used in the murder was recovered from the room of the victim.

7. Materials placed on record suggest that the husband was not at the place of occurrence.

8. Considering the gravity of the offence, involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary and those placed on record, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
