Vacation Bench Mr. Sahjahan Ali ...for the petitioners Mr. Swapan Kr. Dutta, ld. GP Mr. Arka Kr. Nag Mr. Tanweer J. Mondal ...for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record. The petitioners allege that the Special Public Prosecutor appointed to conduct the instant criminal case has accepted the vakalatnama executed by the de-facto complainant. On such ground, the petitioners submitted an application dated February 26, 2025 before the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal praying for changing the Special Public Prosecutor.

The learned Government Pleader submits that such representation shall be considered by the Legal Remembrancer within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned Advocates of the respective parties and without going into the allegations made in the representation dated February 26, 2025, WPA 27962 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal, being the second respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioners dated February 26, 2025 and to take necessary

steps with regard to the prayer of the petitioners in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of 14 working days from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation of the petitioners dated February 26, 2025.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
