Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Amitabh Shukla ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner seeks electricity connection for his submersible pump set.

The report filed by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) suggests that such connection is not techno economically feasible in the opinion of the concerned engineer of WBSEDCL for effecting the connection.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner suggests that the connection can be effected to the pump set of the petitioner from the transformer located in the vicinity. It is emphatically submitted that there already exists a transformer 100 metres away from the installed pump set of the petitioner. Having regard to the nature of dispute as aforesaid, I am not inclined to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, I grant liberty upon the petitioner to make a representation before the Regional

Grievance Redressal Officer, Birbhum for redressing his grievance.

If such representation is filed, the same shall be considered by WBSEDCL in accordance with law within a period of one month after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the representative of WBSEDCL.

Accordingly, WPA 28413 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
