1. Petitioner is in custody for nine months. He contends he had no intention to murder. He prays for bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the bail prayer.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had threatened the victim with murder, as he had failed to repay the loan. Thereafter, he was assaulted. Subsequently, he succumbed to his injuries. Trial is in progress.

4. Under such circumstances we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

5. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.
