Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that in respect of the contempt proceeding the petitioner moved the Hon'ble Apex Court and the Court, inter alia, directed the appellant to be admitted in R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata against a seat reserved for Persons with Disability (UR). It was further directed that if the seat was not available in the said college, taking into consideration the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case and without it being treated as a precedent a supernumerary seat was to be created in the said college against which the appellant could be accommodated.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the WBMCC submits that they have already sent a letter to the NMC for creation of a new seat as no seat was vacant in the college.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the NMC submits that his client is taking appropriate measures so that a seat can be created in the said college at the earliest for the petitioner to take admission.

In view of the above, no further direction need to be passed either in the pending writ petition or in the contempt application.

Accordingly, the same are disposed of.
