Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner was a Group- D staff and posted at Nalban Fisheries Project under the State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited. He retired from service on October 31, 2021 after attaining the age of 60 years. The petitioner has not been paid gratuity.

In those circumstances, the respondent no.

3, Managing Director, State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited, shall ensure release of gratuity to the petitioner, together with interest @ 7% per annum from the date of retirement, i.e., October 31, 2021 till the date of actual payment.

Let the payment as directed hereinabove, be made mandatorily and positively, within a period of one month from date.

In default of payment within the time stipulated above, the rate of interest shall be increased @ 9%.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
