Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the de facto complainant of the case at hand. He was a teacher in the same school as the private respondents. The private respondents duped the petitioner and his candidates of Rs.32,00,000/- and odd on the promise of giving them job. Till date, the police could not even arrest the private respondents.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Nandigram PS Case No.699 dated 10.05.2023 was registered under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, 472 and 34 of the Penal Code. Investigation was done. Statements were recorded under

Section 164 and Section 161 of the Code. Raids were conducted. However, the accused were absconding. It is quite strange that for such a long time as when the case has been pending, the police authorities could not get hold of any of the accused.

Let investigation of the case be transferred to the CID forthwith. They shall conclude the investigation expeditiously and in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
