Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the Narazi application filed by him before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat in GR Case No.1590 of 2010, the application may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the application. It appears that the petitioner filed a Narazi application before the learned Magistrate on 8th April, 2022 which was fixed for hearing before him on 4th July, 2022. Hearing was thereafter deferred to 12th October, 2022, 14th December, 2022, 27th June, 2024 and finally 11th February, 2026.

The case was registered way back in 2010 and no explanation has been recorded by the learned Magistrate

as to why such long dates were fixed for consideration of a Narazi application filed by the petitioner.

In view of the above, the learned Magistrate is directed to consider and dispose of the Narazi application within two weeks from the date of communication of this order upon preponing the date of hearing already fixed by him and upon granting reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the State, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 5034 of 2024 is disposed of.

The petitioner shall act on the server copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
